To all SJATV Club Members
This is a reminder of why we sign the trails.
It’s for the safety of all the ATV riders.
Keep in mind we have many young inexperienced riders.
Last Saturday we installed all new signs through our trail system.
We were out on the trails today and we could not believe what we seen. Someone used a motorized vehicle whether it was a truck or an ATV and drove over signs on the Ryan Rd, at both ends of the Sands Rd and both ends of Germaine Brooke Rd. The Sands Rd at one end was also blocked off by large trees which may have caused serious injury or death to an ATV driver. Also signs were stolen from theses areas.
These signs are put there incase of emergency vehicles need to find you if your injured.
There is a new map which will be available soon which corrosponds with the number system on our trails so no one will get lost.
These signs are government property and there are consequences to having them damaged or stolen.
By removing these signs you could cause a death or maybe someone getting lost.
To who it may concern, the trail police will be notified of this act which means there will be more of a presence on our trails.
A reward will be offered to any information regarding the theft of these signs which leads to an arrest.
On the weekend we installed signs on our trails.
Thank you to the volunteers who showed up.
The blue Trail number 10 is our portion of the provincial trail which will travel
throughout the province.
All clubs will have a Trail 10. Similar to the TCH 2
The other trails are numbers with the green signs are our local trails.
Our club is club #35.
So, 3501, 3502, etc in no particular order.
A map is being produced to reflect these numbers.
This is the standard for trail signs in the province. Not ours.
Ride Safe!
