Groomed / non Groomed trail permits.
I would just like to confirm what we talked about at our meeting.
As we said at the meeting the NBATV Federation is the trail manager appointed by the Dept of Natural resources to manage trail permits. Thus the definition on the www.nbatving.com website explains the difference between the 2 permits.
So again a non groomed pass is valid on the managed trails when grooming or plowing is not required to access the trail.
This means the non groomed permit is valid now.
Having said that they are going to add some more clarification to the definition, when it comes to when grooming is done for the season, in the near future.
On that note, for this year after looking at the 2 week long range forecast, the executives have decided that we are done grooming for this year.
That should help avoid any confusion that’s left out there for the rest of this year.
Keep in mind that this doesn’t mean you can run snowmobile managed trails. They are off limits until their leases are up on April 15th.
Also if you are out on the trails right now use extreme caution. Trails are very icy and dangerous in certain areas.
Ride Safe !
